Scott Dergance Joins KGA Studio Architects
We’re excited to announce that Scott Dergance has joined KGA Studio Architects as Principal. In his new role, he will become an important member of the firm’s design leadership team and continue its nearly 50-year history of designing successful and award-winning new construction homes, amenities, and communities for regional and national homebuilders.
Scott comes to KGA with an impressive background in residential design and management. He most recently served as Senior Division Architect at Toll Brothers, where he directed architectural design and production for the company's largest division and managed its internal architecture team. He has held key director and management roles over the course of his impressive career, spanning high-profile residential and commercial projects at architectural firms, modular home design, and prefabricated steel framing systems for multi-family housing.

He has a proven track record of working within those constraints to create incredible home designs at scale, which is a real asset to our current and future clients.”
Scott has been involved in many aspects of the home construction life cycle, from land acquisition to warranty issue resolution. One of his final projects at Toll Brothers was a comprehensive redesign of over 100 house plans in the builder’s portfolio, including elevation refreshes, updates to key design elements, and value engineering. This multi-year process has given him key insights on how to best optimize value for buyers and builders. He also has a deep understanding of top-selling architectural styles and details in Colorado, in addition to emerging design features and trends on a national scale.
He shared that his career trajectory has come full circle at KGA. “My previous experience and success have really prepared me for this moment and this unique opportunity. My approach to design is one of collaboration and communication. I approach every project without preconceived ideas during the initial stage of the process to create better solutions. KGA’s philosophy is similar, and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.”
Scott holds an MSAAD from Columbia University’s School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. Outside the office, he spends as much time in the Colorado outdoors as possible. His creative pursuits also extend beyond the office. He has a passion for creating digital art, and his work has been featured in several local publications.
